David Foster Wallace (Ithaca, 1962 - Claremont, 2008) fue escritor de novelas, relatos y
ensayos, así como profesor de escritura creativa en el Pomona College de Claremont, en California. En 1996, con treinta
y cuatro años, publicó Infinite Jest, una obra que lo consagró entre la crítica y los lectores, y que la revista Time
consideró una de las cien mejores novelas en lengua inglesa del periodo entre 1923 y 2005. En 2008, tras una prolongada
depresión, Wallace se suicidó en su casa y fue hallado por su mujer. Entre sus obras traducidas a nuestra lengua se
