Adrian McKinty es uno de los más brillantes representantes de la nueva generación de escritores de novela negra en lengua inglesa. Nacido en Carrickfergus, Irlanda del Norte, tras estudiar Filosofía en Oxford, se trasladó a Nueva York en donde realizó todo tipo de trabajos manuales para sobrevivir. Su carrera literaria la empezó cuando logró una plaza de docente de lengua en Denver. Autor de una docena de novelas negras, todas tienen en común la agitada historia reciente de Irlanda del Norte que vivió durante su infancia y adolescencia. Actualmente vive en Melbourne, Australia. En esta misma colección de Alianza Negra están publicadas sus anteriores novelas, " Cold Cold Ground " y " Oigo sirenas en la calle " , que también tienen como principal personaje al particular inspector Sean Duffy. Con " Por la mañana me habré ido McKinty " ha ganado el Premio de la Asociación de Escritores de Novela Negra de Australia.
