La escritora y peridista británica Jojo Moyes nació en 1969 y se crió en Londres. Trabajó en oficios tan diversos como redactora en braille para clientes invidentes de un banco antes de graduarse en la London University. En 1992 consiguió una beca para un máster de periodismo en la City University. Excepto por un corto período en que trabajó para el Sunday Morning Post en Hong Kong, su carrera profesional estuvo ligada durante diez años al The Independent, hasta que en 2002, coincidiendo con el éxito cosechado por su primera novela, Regreso a Irlanda, decidió dedicarse por entero a la literatura. Con posterioridad ha publicado Música nocturna, La casa de las olas, El bazar de los sueños, El viaje de las novias y Hasta siempre, mi amor, distinguida en su país con el premio a la mejor novela romántica del año.
