Mark Mazower es el autor de Incide Hitler?s Greece, Dark Continent: Europe?s Twentieth Century, The Balkans, que ganó el Wolfson Prize de Historia, y Salonica: City of Ghosts, que ganó el Runciman Prize y el Duff Cooper Prize. Ha sido profesor en la Universidad de Sussex, Princeton y el Birkbeck College, de la Universidad de Londres. Actualmente es profesor de Historia en la Universidad de Columbia.
