Marcos Giralt Torrente (Madrid, 1968) is an award-winning writer from Madrid. He has published several books, including the novels Paris (Herralde Novel Award), Los seres felices and Tiempo de vida (Spanish National Book Award), the novella Nada sucede solo and the collections of short stories Entiéndame and El final del amor (International Short Fiction Award Ribera del Duero), released in English by McSweeneys as The End of Love and longlisted in the 2014 BTBA.

Marcos Giralt Torrente (Madrid, 1968) es uno de los autores más valorados de la literatura española actual. Debutó en 1995 con la colección de cuentos Entiéndame, a la que siguieron las novelas París (Premio Herralde de Novela) y Los seres felices. Su último libro, Tiempo de vida, cosechó un aplauso unánime y fue destacado por la crítica entre los mejores de 2010. Es autor también del relato largo Nada sucede solo (Premio Furest i Roca) y de la colección de microrrelatos Cuentos vagos.
