Robert Crumb (Filadelfia, 1943) es el dibujante más importante del cómic underground norteamericano. Más conocido por su inconfundible narración y su temática sin concesiones, es el creador de Devil Girl, Mr. Natural, Zap Comics, la icónica viñeta de ?Keep on Truckin?? de las camisetas, el diseño de la portada del álbum Cheap Thrills de Big Brother & the Holding Co. (con Janis Joplin), y el gato Fritz, protagonista de los polémicos dibujos para adultos del animador Ralph Bakshi. Crumb, documental galardonado y dirigido por Terry Zwigoff, le convirtió en una figura de la cultura pop establecida tan a su pesar que acabó emigrando. En la actualidad vive en Francia.
