Josep Francecs Delgado (Barcelona, 1960) é profesor de ensino medio, novelista, poeta e escritor de literatura de viaxes en lingua catalana. A súa paixón polo mundo do Himalaia levouno a escribir tres novelas sobre a xente que vive nas montañas máis altas do mundo: ``Sagarmatha´´ (1988, Xerais 2005), premio Joa-quim Ruyra de literatura xuvenil 1998; ``Bajo el signo de Durga´´ (1992) e ``Nima, el sherpa de Namche´´ (1993), premio Internacional Europa de 1993. Ademais é autor dunha estensa obra de literatura infantil e xuvenil, na que destacan obras como ``Les llops de la lluna roja´´ (2002) e ``Ulldevellut´´ (2003), escrito en colaboración con Herminia Mas.
