Helen Oyeyemi (Nigeria, 1984) es autora de The Icarus Girl; The Opposite House, que fue candidata al premio Hurston-Wright Legacy en el 2008, y White is for Witching, que ganó en el 2010 el premio Somerset Maugham. En 2013, fue incluida en la lista Granta de los mejores jóvenes novelistas ingleses. La novela que hoy presentamos fue publicada en inglés en 2012.
