Rebecca Skloot, escritora científica galardonada, ha publicado artículos en The New York Times Magazine, O, The Oprah Magazine, Discover, Prevention, Glamour y otros. Ha trabajado como corresponsal de Radiolab (NPR)  de ScienceNOW, de Nova (PBS), y como redactora adjunta de la revista Popular Science y redactora invitada de The Best American Science Writing 2011. Su trabajo se ha incluido en varias colecciones, como The Best Creative Nonfiction. Fue vicepresidenta del National Book Critics Circle y ha enseñado no ficción y periodismo científico en la Universidad de Memphis, la Universidad de Pittsburgh y la Universidad de Nueva York. Vive en Chicago.
