Con todo, jamás abandonó los estudios y se doctoró en letras y en leyes. Viajó por América y Europa y visitó Palestina y las islas Hawai. Su vida está plagada de anécdotas divertidas que demuestran una profunda independencia personal, un rechazo total a vivir con ataduras.
