Puede que Anthony Horowitz haya cometido más asesinatos (en la ficción) que ningún otro escritor de hoy en día. Como guionista de televisión ha creado Midsomer Murders y Foyle?s War, ganadora de un premio BAFTA. Otros trabajos televisivos incluyen episodios de la prestigiosa serie Poirot y las aclamadas miniseries Collision e Injustice. También es el autor de una serie de famosos libros juveniles, incluida la saga de Alex Rider, que ha vendido más de trece millones de ejemplares en todo el mundo.
