Don Tapscott es diplomado en psicología y estadística, y doctorado en Derecho. Tapscott es experto en estrategia empresarial y es presidente de New Paradigm, una firma de consultoría estratégica y gabinete de expertos que él mismo fundó en 1993. Es autor de varios libros y profesor en la Rotman School of Management de la Universidad de Toronto.
Está considerado internacionalmente, una de los autoridades internacionales en temas de estrategia empresarial y comunicación. Escribe regularmente para algunos de los periódicos más influyentes de Estados Unidos: The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times y USA Today.
