Martin Amis (Swansea, Sur de Gales, 1949) é autor de nove novelas, entre elas Money (1984), The Information (1995) e Yellow Dogs (2004). Entre os seus libros salientan tamén a autobiografía Experience (2002) e a crónica Koba the Dread (2002). No ano 2006, Editorial Galaxia publicou a tradución galega da súa novela A casa dos encontros e no 2010 A viúva preñada.
