Quentin Tarantino (Knoxville, Tennessee, 27 de març del 1963) és director de cinema, guionista i actor. Es va fer conèixer a finals dels anys vuitanta gràcies a My Best Friend's Brithday, guió que va formar les bases de True Romance, però va assolir la fama gràcies a Reservoir Dogs i Pulp Fiction. És famós gràcies al seu estil innovador, influït per l'estètica dels còmics i de les sèries B, on la narració és sovint no lineal, amb diàlegs memorables i una important dosi de violència i sang sublimades estèticament i atenuades per un toc humorístic.
