Gene Kerrigan (Dublín) es un escritor y veterano periodista irlandés distinguido en dos ocasiones con el premio al mejor periodista del año (1985 y 1990). Es autor de siete libros de no ficción sobre escándalos financieros, política y criminalidad en su país, y de cuatro novelas negras ambientadas en la Irlanda contemporánea. La última de ellas, "La furia" (Sajalín, 2015), obtuvo el premio Gold Dagger a la mejor novela criminal del 2012, galardón concedido en años anteriores a autores como Edward Bunker, Henning Mankell o Fred Vargas. Gene Kerrigan debutó como novelista en 2005 con "Delincuentes de medio pelo" (Sajalín, 2017).
