nació en 1966 en Quebec. Una vez culminados sus estudios de artes plásticas en Sainte-Foy y en Toronto comienza a trabajar en 1986 en el estudio CinéGroup en Montreal. Trabaja durante seis meses en Munich y, posteriormente en Berlín, Valence y, finalmente, Montpellier, localidad en la que reside desde 1991. Su primer libro fue publicado por LAssociation en 1996. Destacan tambien Escapar, Shenzhen, Crónicas birmanas, Crónicas de Jerusalén, así como la tetralogía La guía del mal padre y el recopilatorio de historias cortas Cómo no hacer nada, todos en Astiberri.
