Julia

Franck nació en Berlín (Este)

en 1970. En 1978 huyó con su

familia a la zona occidental. Cursó

estudios americanos y

literatura comparada alemana en la Freie Universität de Berlín. Durante su época

de estudiante residió en Estados Unidos y en Centroamérica, y en la actualidad

vive en Berlín. En 2007, Tusquets Editores publicó, con gran éxito

de crítica y de lectores, su novela
