Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (1977) es una autora nigeriana considerada la voz más destacada de una serie de nuevos autores anglófonos que están logrando atraer a una generación de lectores a la literatura africana.
En 2003 se le otorgó el premio Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best First Book a su novela "La flor púrpura".
Con la novela Americanah consiguió el premio del National Books Critics Cercle 2013. Ese mismo año dio una aclamada conferencia en la plataforma TEDx posteriormente publicada en formato libro con el título "Todos deberíamos ser feministas"
