Kamila Shamsie (Karachi, Pakistán, 1973) es autora de seis novelas: "In the city by the sea", "Kartography" (ambas preseleccionadas para el Premio John Llewellyn Rhys), "Salt and Saffron", "Broken Verses", "Burnt Shadows" (preseleccionada para el Orange Award for Fiction) y, más recientemente, "A God in Every Stone", que fue preseleccionada para el Premio Baileys, el Premio Walter Scott de Ficción Histórica y el Premio DSC para Literatura del Sur de Asia. Tres de sus obras han recibido premios de la Academia de las Letras de Pakistán. Nació en Karachi y ahora vive en Londres.
